A Baby and a Basset

Katie and I briefly discussed scheduling her maternity session a couple of days before my own session was set to take place. When I arrived at my session and saw the myriad of farm flowers blanketing the neighboring field I knew two things:

1) I wanted my pictures to take place in that field

2) My inner photography nerd knew that field NEEDED me to photograph it, as soon as possible.

I love the feeling of finding a location that makes me absolutely giddy inside and this was it.

The next morning, I texted Katie asking if there was any possible way we could get our lives in order so that we could make her shoot happen that weekend - just in case the dreamy flowers were on their last leg. She agreed and it was set!

Katie has been the ultimate PIC (Partner in Crime) with our pregnancies being so close together. Our determination to *try* and keep up with our rigorous exercise routine (even if it requires potty breaks every 15 minutes) and our dog-themed nurseries have been such fun to share.

Clearly, Dexter, Chris and Katie's year-old Basset Hound had to join us because let's be real, the camera (like everyone else) loves him. You may remember him from our puppy session last year. I mean, how could you forget those ears??

Prepare yourselves for picture overload because I just couldn't narrow down my favorites. I love this couple, their Basset, that bump and this field SO much and I'm so thrilled to share these. Enjoy!
